Marielle Devereaux

Marielle Devereaux graduated in 2021 from Columbia College Chicago where she grew passionate about investigative reporting, feature writing, editing, graphic design and photography.

She has worked with numerous publications both online and in print, including The Chicago Sun Times, Modern Healthcare Magazine, The Verona Press, The Columbia Chronicle, Echo Magazine and Chicago Talks.

From to donning a mask and gown to conduct tearful interviews in a hospital, to taking photos on the back of a motorcycle, to breathlessly rushing down to the scene of a protest, to poring over hundreds of nursing home misconduct documents, to confronting aldermen and presidential candidates at press gaggles, her career in journalism has taken her places she never thought she would go and ignited her passion for seeking truth through storytelling.
